El Dorado Hills doesn't have its own hospital, but it isn't far from full care either. Here's where to go for a same-day appointment, a walk-in urgent care visit, or a real emergency.
Call 911. Don't drive yourself. For anything after that — chest pain, severe injury, stroke symptoms — the closest full-service emergency rooms are Mercy Hospital of Folsom (about 15 minutes west) and Marshall Medical Center in Placerville (about 20 minutes east).
Sprains, minor fractures, cuts, fevers, and illness that can't wait for a regular appointment — MDSTAT Urgent Care in El Dorado Hills is a walk-in clinic open 9am–9pm, 365 days a year, with on-site X-ray and labs.
Marshall Medical's Family Medicine office at Town Center offers same-day appointments for sick visits, physicals, and ongoing primary care, and is accepting new patients.
Marshall's El Dorado Hills campus also houses orthopedics and sports medicine (with a walk-in clinic for acute injuries), cardiology, podiatry, physical and occupational therapy, and an on-site lab draw station.
Marshall Medical — the health system behind the hospital in Placerville — operates a 25,000-square-foot outpatient facility at Town Center Boulevard. It's the closest thing El Dorado Hills has to a local medical campus: same-day family medicine appointments, a walk-in orthopedic and sports medicine clinic for acute injuries, cardiology, podiatry, physical and occupational therapy, and an on-site lab draw station, all without a trip to Placerville.

Yes, several independent pediatric practices serve El Dorado Hills families, though panels and insurance networks change often — confirm same-day sick-visit availability and network status directly with a practice before enrolling. For serious pediatric emergencies, UC Davis Children's Hospital in Sacramento (about 40 minutes west) is the region's dedicated children's hospital.
